Yichang Sanxia Airport issues subsidy policy

The city government of Yichang is offering an RMB-800 -per-flight subsidy as a reward for airlines willing to open new air routes or increase flights at Yichang Sanxia Airport. On November 14th, Yinchang City officially issued the civil aviation subsidy policy to encourage aviation enterprises to open new scheduled domestic flights at the airport. In order to become eligible for the new subsidy, respective airlines must add at least two extra flights per week. Based on the decreed policy, beginning October 1st, the city government of Yichang is giving out monetary rewards to newly opened flight routes or flights with stop-by services in Sanxia Airport. Accordingly, small aircraft with fewer than 50 seats will receive the amount of RMB 800 for each flight made. Large aircraft with more than 50 seats will receive RMB 1,800 for every flight. Furthermore, any aviation enterprise setting up its new base at Sanxia Airport will receive an additional subsidy amounting to RMB 200. This will be given with the 60 percent discount on landing and takeoff. All existing airlines based in Yinchang Sanxia Airport will receive an 80 percent discount on its landing and takeoff fee.
