Beihang University commences 2nd training program

Beihang University begins its second training program for large aircraft senior professionals on October 28th. More than 50 outstanding masters and doctors of Beihang University and young professionals from aviation enterprises and scientific research units received the training. The trainees will serve as backup to chief designers and chief engineers of large aircraft projects. At the same time, the aviation science and technology national laboratory was created in Beihang University to resolve technical problems in manufacturing large aircrafts. An estimated 15 chief scientists will be appointed to spearhead the laboratory. The project, which has an estimated average of RMB 30 million in annual science research funds, will employ senior domestic and foreign personnel who will serve as research staff. Each scientist will have 20 to 30 personnel to form its scientific research team. The creation of the research facility, which will hire 5000 people, is attracting several postgraduate students and professionals to fill the demand.
