United Eagle Airlines receives safety audit

The first private airline in China, the United Eagle Airlines, officially received the aviation safety audit of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on September 25th. The Northeast Regional Administration of the CAAC, under the authority of the CAAC and in cooperation with the Southwest Regional Administration of the CAAC, organized the safety audit inspection on United Eagle Airlines. The safety audit comprises nine aspects, including management audits on: general safety, flight operation, cabin safety, maintenance, flight affairs, passenger traffic, cargo transport, dangerous goods transport, and aviation health. Li Shuwen, director of the audit group and vice director of the Northeas Regional Administration of the CAAC, emphasized the purpose of the inspection. He said that the safety audit was conducted: to fully learn the safety operation situation of the unit being audited; to check on related established policies and the organization management system; to implement the working process of airlines for maintaining safe operation while conforming to laws, rules, regulations and related requirements; to urge and guide the unit being audited; to establish and perfect the safety management system and long-term effective mechanism and improve the safety operation level. Li further stated that the audit will determine the weak links of safety surveillance, improve the civil aviation regulations and standards, and improve the surveillance and management level. United Eagles Airlines President Li Haiying expressed that, based on the result of the audit, the airline will then be able to improve its company safety system and all aspects of its operation.
