Shenzhen Airlines and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on October 8th to develop mutual cooperation and a close partnership between the two parties. Shenzhen Airlines President Li Kun and IATA Director General and CEO Giovanni Bisignani finalized the MOU. Accordingly, this is the first time for the IATA to develop a partnership and bilateral cooperation with a Chinese airline through a MOU. As a result, Shenzhen Airlines became a mutual partner of the IATA in Asia. The MOU will help promote better development of Shenzhen Airlines, even in the Asia Pacific area, through the IATA. The MOU provision comprises the establishment of: a bilateral senior leaders scheduled visitation mechanism, a cooperation working group, a scheduled meeting system and a bilateral operating staff scheduled exchange learning system, promoting connection, and implementation of cooperation.
