Search

In order to serve the increasing volume of tourists coming from abroad, Dunhuang Airport is upgrading its existing airport to an international hub. Established in 1982, Dunhuang Airport welcomes its first international flight from Japan this October, making it the second international airport in the entire Gansu province next to Zhongchuan Airport. Subsequent to the opening of the Dunhuang temporary airport, the three international air routes for chartered flights will begin with Japan-Dunhuang to be operated by China Southern Airlines, followed by Air China for the Korea-Dunhuang flight routes, and the Hong Kong-Dunhuang air route, to be opened by Hainan Airlines.
