Wu presented five requirements for this year’s general aviation work from CATAGAC’s point of view. He said CATAGAC should promote the establishment of a general aviation operation service system and policy construction as a spur to industry development. Wu added that it should work on cultivating general aviation talent and promote general aviation through advertising, and should also work on establishing a General Aviation Committee. The participants at the meeting said that in the future, they will organize a task group to complete a proposal on tariff and and value-added tax deduction for imported general aviation aircraft, and enhance communication with the Flight Standard Department of the Civil Aviation Administration of China. They will also strive to establish an independent mechanic maintenance license examination and management system in line with general aviation operation standards and safety requirements. Furthermore, they will focus on general aviation operation standards and present preferred prices of general aviation operation to regulate the GA market. The participants also said that they will help enterprises in cultivating talent and promote the establishment of an education system to improve the quality of GA personnel.
