Naverus opens Beijing office

Naverus, in cooperation with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), opened an office in Beijing on May 16.
As an important science research organization of CAAC, the Center of Aviation Safety Technology (CAST) commits itself to research work on Required Navigation Performance (RNP) operation at plateau airports, complex terrain airports and complicated weather condition airports. The cooperation between CAST and Naverus on RNP technical service started in 2005. Through common efforts, RNP operation has achieved success at Lhasa, Linzhi and Jiuzhaigou airports, contributing to social and economic development in said areas. It also accumulated experience for the application of RNP technology at busy eastern airports and other airports with complex terrain and complicated weather conditions. RNP can be used for increasing safety, saving fuel, benefiting environment protection, increasing airspace capacity, and reducing flight delay. To implement the goal of developing and implementing RNP to serve civil aviation, CAST signed a memorandum of understating with Naverus to establish a strategic partnership.
