Changjiang Leasing Company establishes its base in Tianjin

Changjiang Leasing Company, the biggest aviation leasing enterprise in China, formally settled in Tianjin on November 16th. The leasing company, established in 2000 in Haikou, Hainan Province, is one of the first experimental financing and leasing enterprises given approval by China’s Ministry of Commerce. The company specializes in the leasing and financing of aircraft to the country’s airline industry. Leasing companies are the main buyers of aircraft in China, comprising 70 percent of the entire 178 aircraft purchased in 2006. At present, Changjiang Leasing Company has generated a sale leaseback of four B737-800 and four A319 aircraft. It has leased one A319, four B737-800 and two ERJ145, and has arranged the financing for an advance-payment leasing of seven ERJ145 aircraft.
