Beijing-Japan (South Korea) ATM coordination meeting held

The Operation Management Center of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) Air Traffic Management Bureau (ATMB) conducted the “Beijing to Japan (South Korea) air route traffic management coordination meeting” held in Beijing on November 1st. Officials and personnel from the Airspace Management Department of CAAC-ATMB, Beijing Area Control Center, Beijing Terminal Control Center, Dalian Area Control Office and Qingdao Air Control Station attended the meeting. The meeting’s objective included the implementation of the air traffic control security of Beijing, Shengyang, Dalian and Qingdao. It also included exploring internal potentials in the air traffic control system to reduce flight delays between Beijing to Japan (South Korea) air routes. The Beijing Area Control Center, Beijing Terminal Control Center, Dalian Area Control office and Qingdao Air Control Station presented their flight operation experiences on the air route from Beijing to Japan (South Korea). They also analyzed the reasons for flight delays, and presented a detailed description of work difficulties during implementation. The meeting also included a discussion of issues on how to further strengthen traffic management, improve the coordination among the air control areas, and lessen flight delays. Participants also addressed the questions on routine operation, flight plan approval, air route adjustment and air route structure optimization. The “Beijing to Japan (South Korea) air route traffic management coordination meeting” provided the arena for attendees to clarify their work task in the coming days and fully develop the specific measures for flight delays.
