China, Vietnam ink RVSM control agreement

The Southwest Air Traffic Management Bureau (ATMB) signed the Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RSVM) agreement with Vietnam’s civil aviation authorities in Hanoi on October 31st. During the visit, the Chinese delegation met with leaders of Vietnam’s civil aviation authority to discuss the implementation of the RVSM agreement between neighboring control countries. The visit and meeting led to the successful signing and implementation of the Kunming and Hanoi Control Region and Control Operation Agreement. The approved minutes of the China-Vietnam Civil Aviation Air Traffic Management meeting was also officially inked. On November 1st, the China delegation took part in an interview with leaders of the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority and Vietnam Air Traffic Management Bureau on civil aviation air traffic management building. They further examined and signed a new bilateral control agreement, and officially approved the minutes of the talk. The successful signing of the new control agreement outside China will promote exchange and cooperation between the civil aviation industries of China and Vietnam. It has established a strong base to put into practice the successful implementation of the RVSM, beginning November 22nd.
