Feasibility report of Sha County Civil Airport approved

On September 27th, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the feasibility report for the Sha County Civil Airport in Sanming, China. The feasibility report includes a civil airport construction project scheduled to be completed by 2020 that will be able to accommodate a passenger throughput of 430,000 person times and an annual cargo/mail throughput of 6,400 tons. The main construction plan will include a category 4C flight area with a runway measuring a total of 2,800 meters long and 45 meters wide, a terminal building with a total area of 6,000 sq. m., an 800 sq. m. air traffic management operation building, 1,150 sq. m. freight warehouse and operation building, and an automobile park that will cover an area of 5,200 sq. m. Service facilities including communication, power, water supply, and fuel will also be established. The total project cost of approximately RMB 490 million will be invested jointly by CAAC, Fujian Province, and Sanming City.
